The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope captured the largest and sharpest image of the Andromeda galaxy (also known as M31). The image has 1.5 billion pixels and full sized weights 4.3 GB! (69536 x 22230 px!)
The image shows us over 100 million stars and thousands of star clusters – stretched across 40 000 light-years. Just imagine how vast the universe is because the image shows only a part of the Andromeda galaxy and the Universe way bigger and contains many galaxies.
